Watch Obol's song Supersized

WATCH SUPERSIZED >

If there is a silver-lining to people leaving a band, it is the infusion of new members joining, and the invigoration of new blood and enthusiasm is always contagious. For better or worse, Supersized was not a beloved song for Ashton or Ryan — Ryan once went so far as to say, “This song involves every aspect of rock music that I hate.” — and their combined veto power resulted in an indefinate shelving of the song.

Lyrics:
It's such a bee sting to realize I'm not the actor whore within my mind. I need to bleed the same: Beautify! A chance to take away, or piss inside. And all the pressure's square on me to take things up a notch. To look like Lohan and Britney. To pick myself apart. Asleep in time perchance to dream. And all my dreams, they come and play with me. And all I see... It's time to pay. Confidential. Kid's play. Make me a lie. Supersize me. A bold admission: I hate my life. I think it's time to change the side, unveil the mustang, maybe get a sun tan, or take a while to pimp myself. And all the pressure's square on me to take things up a notch. To look like Lohan and Britney. To pick myself apart. Asleep in time perchance to dream. And all my faults down deep inside. And all I fear... is noise and flash... that's all I need! Make me a lie. Supersize me. Supersize me. I'm Supersized.

Insights and Interpretations:
From Barry, 2011: I want Bon Jovi's career. Damn you, Bon Jovi. If it were as simple as getting breast implants, I would totally do it.
